A few practical things.

These terms cover MessyNote, a place to think through an idea and turn it into a note. Keep access to your sign-in method secure and use the service only for content you are entitled to provide.

The Founding 20 and membership

We are opening 20 paid founding places. The current founding membership costs $12 USD per month, paid immediately at checkout and renewed monthly. There is no free trial for new founding memberships. Paid membership includes 500 successful AI responses per paid billing period. Applicable tax is shown at checkout. Your own rate and billing dates appear in Account.

Signing in alone does not reserve a place. Existing confirmed trials keep their promised end dates and count toward capacity; this does not create a trial offer for new founders. When places are taken or temporarily held, you can join the waitlist. Joining the waitlist is free, does not create a subscription, and does not guarantee a place or future price. You can leave it from the waitlist page. One trial is available per account; after a trial has ended or been canceled, another trial is not currently available. A returning account may be offered a membership paid immediately at checkout, subject to availability, with those terms shown before payment.

If you join at the founding rate, that rate stays the same while your subscription stays active. Once that subscription ends, starting a new membership uses the offer available when you rejoin.

A response is one conversational reply or one generated note draft. Automatic folder organization and technical retries do not consume the response allowance. There are no automatic usage overage charges. Request-size and short-term rate limits also apply to protect the service.

Voice conversations in beta

When voice is available, paid membership includes 30 minutes per paid billing period. A seven-day trial, when offered, includes 5 minutes total. Voice time is separate from written AI responses and is counted while a conversation is connected, including pauses. Calls end when the available time runs out, with no automatic overage charges. Each call is limited to 15 minutes, with up to six starts per day, subject to your remaining time.

Voice requires a supported browser, an internet connection, and microphone permission. You can mute or end a call at any time. Check the saved transcript before turning it into a note.

Your notes and AI assistance

You retain your rights to the content you provide. Generated notes are offered for your review and can contain mistakes. Check a note before relying on it. You can read, manually edit, and download existing content after your subscription ends.

Billing and cancellation

Founding membership is charged when checkout is completed. Paid memberships renew monthly until cancelled. If you have a confirmed trial, cancel in Account before it ends to avoid the first membership charge. Cancellation stops the next renewal; paid access continues through the current paid period. A temporary failed payment recovered on the same subscription keeps that subscription’s rate. A failed payment does not start a new paid period; access follows your actual paid period.

Account deletion cancels immediately and removes your saved app content. Limited trial-eligibility and necessary billing records remain, as described in the privacy notice; deleting an account does not reset trial eligibility. For a billing issue or refund request, email hello@messynote.com from your account email. Refund requests are reviewed individually; cancellation alone does not automatically refund an earlier payment. Any applicable consumer rights remain unaffected.

Early access

This version is being tested and may experience interruptions. Download copies of important notes. The app should not be used for unlawful activity, automated account creation, reselling access, or attempts to access another person’s information.
